It all started Labor Day. For many-it is a day of rest, but for us Bulldogs it marked the beginning of the season. 7 am wake up call for the 8am 200 yd shuttle test to measure our fitness levels and ability to recover. Fitness testing lasted the rest of that week where we did some jumping tests, hang cleans, bench press, and mile repeats. It was a tough grueling week, but a good way to track the hard training we did over the summer months and an indication of what we need to improve on going forward. The seniors organized a team retreat for the weekend where the team went to Brownstone park and then afterwards to senior forward, Paige Decker’s house for a great supper. We just finished week 2 of pre-season and are very excited to get on the ice Saturday for captains practice.
