Buying In

Coach Eddie Working on Scouting Report

As we are headed into our final weeks of regular season play we are finally starting to realize the importance of buying in-buying into everything we have learned and also pouring our hearts every time we step onto the ice.

For our preparation there aren’t going to be any drastic changes,

but fine-tuning and attention to details. From this last week of games it was obvious that when we all come to play we are a great hockey team. It’s a great time to start peaking and playing our best hockey!

A couple firsts were granted in yesterdays win vs. Union. Junior Lauren Davis scored her first career goal and the team couldn’t

have expressed more excitement for this deserving player. The bench just erupted! Freshmen Jenna Ciotti also earned her first career hat trick. She is currently at a four game goal-scoring streak. Since last Tuesday’s win against Brown, Coach Eddie decided that he wouldn’t shave if we kept our streak alive. With our win against Union and tie against RPI he will continue into next weekends games.

On another note, last week Monday we started Hockey Lent where each player and coach wrote down a sacrifice and an addition that will last through the end of

the season. Hockey Lent symbolizes a vow towards being our best during the final stretch. Many players sacrificed dessert and added more sleep. A pattern with the coaches was adding more workouts.

We need to finish this season having “no regrets”. We have the power to write an amazing chapter…here we go Bulldogs, let’s finish strong!
