A Tie with #9 Ranked Harvard

With 14 seconds left in the game and shorthanded because of a penalty, the Harvard Crimson were able to sneak a goal to tie it up and bring the game into overtime…which ended in a 3-3 tie.

The seniors and Coach Flygh prepared a motivational video that was shown right before the game. New warmup t-shirts were also given out for the occasion. It was a big night for Yale. This marked the first league game of the season, and also Coach Flygh’s first return to Harvard where he was a previous assistant coach for the team. There was such a build up of energy that no matter what adversity hit us, we were going to go through it! Our biggest trial happened half way through the first period when Senior goaltender, Jackie Snikeris had to leave the game due to injury.

#39 Erin Callahan Filled Some Big Shoes in the Bulldogs 3-3 Tie with the Harvard Crimson

Sophomore goaltender Erin Callahan stepped right up to the challenge and saved over 30 shots to help the Bulldogs to a 3-3 tie. Two freshmen, Jackie Raines and Jenn Lawrence notched their first career goals. The player of the game though ended up being Alyssa Zupon with her tenacious efforts. She was all over the place blocking shots-taking it for the team! We were proud of our efforts and can’t wait to get back at it against Dartmouth!
